  • A total of 501 units were produced over the three years from 1994 to 1996
  • The final model of a 12-cylinder midship manufactured by Ferrari

The F512M debuted at the Paris Salon in 1994 as the final evolution model of the Testarossa series, which debuted in 1984 as a successor to the 365GT4 / BB and 512BB. After the series followed by Testarossa and 512TR, the name "Modificata" was added as "M,” which is the acronym for "improvement" in Italian, hence giving the example its F512M name. “512” means a 12-cylinder engine with a total displacement of 5 liters. The F512M is also the last Ferrari flagship model to have a 180 ° V 12-cylinder engine in the mid.

The engine model is F113G. The shape of the combustion chamber has been newly designed to adopt forged aluminum pistons and titanium connecting rods. Furthermore, the adoption of a variable pitch raises the follow-up limit of the valve spring to 10,000 rpm. The example is equipped with performance improvements (maximum output: 440ps / 6,750rpm, maximum torque: 51.0kgm / 5,500rpm) that are suitable for the final evolution model of the Testarossa series.

As for the exterior, the front retractable headlights, which have been inherited since 3654 / BB, have been changed to fixed types, and the tail lights have also been changed from the square design through the louvre, which was a characteristic feature after Testarossa, to a quadruple round design.
