Please provide BHJ with detailed information regarding the vehicles that you wish to consign. The prior presentation of detailed vehicle information such as vehicle inspection documents, photographs, lists of accessories, maintenance records, history, mileage, etc. will be crucial materials that will possibly contribute in effectively increasing the bidding price at the auction. Further details can be confirmed from the “CONTACT” tab on the menu bar.
There will be a mandatory preregistration inspection and only the vehicles that meet our criteria will be able to proceed to the registration process. After consulting your preferable bidding price (commission fee included), please fill in and sign the required information on the exhibition registration application form and submit. At the time of registration, please submit the documents of ownership cancellation (car verification, transfer certificate, seal certificate, power of attorney documents, etc.) as well. We are obligated under the Japanese Antique Dealings Law to disclose these above-mentioned documents to the police of the auction jurisdiction as proof that the vehicle is not stolen.
After the registration for consignment is completed, we will photograph the vehicle and conduct various promotional activities not only targeting bidding participants in Japan, but also on an international level by utilizing our website, SNS, and catalogs. Photographing locations are relatively flexible as it can take place near the consigned vehicle as well as at our studio in Narita, Chiba. Further details can be confirmed from the “CONSIGNMENT PROCESS” tab on the menu bar. Furthermore, prior to the auction, we will send an entrance pass with a plus one admission to the consignor.
After the auction bid is made, the consignor will receive a three-party contract (consignor, successful bidder, organizer). Please return it immediately after carefully reading and signing the contract. After the agreement among the three parties is established and the monetary transfer from the successful bidder has been completed, the vehicle, accessories and all its documents will be delivered to the successful bidder. During this process, the total winning bid will be entrusted at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust and Banking Corporation. After the delivery of the consigned vehicle is completed, the commission fee as well as the consumption tax will be deducted from the bidding price, and the remaining amount will be remitted to your designated bank account.
