Debuting at the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show as the successor to the iconic 308, the Ferrari 328 GTB quickly became a sensation among “small Ferrari” purists. Designed by Pininfarina and powered by a mid-mounted 3.2-liter V8, it offered crisp throttle response, light-footed handling, and an unmistakably sporty character—traits that continue to captivate Ferrari enthusiasts today.
This particular example is a tastefully modified 328 GTB executed with remarkable attention to detail.
The wheels have been upgraded from the original 16-inch set to 18 inches, while the braking system has been significantly enhanced: F50 calipers at the front, F40 calipers at the rear, the brake booster removed, and an F40 master cylinder installed. The commitment to braking performance is unmistakable.
Suspension has been upgraded to QUANTUM coilovers, and although the engine itself remains stock, the original K-Jetronic system has been replaced with a Japanese ECU, creating a reliable, finely balanced setup suitable for both city driving and spirited mountain roads.
One of the most noteworthy attributes of this car is that it retains its original paint, with the sole exception of the cloisonné emblem inset on the side. The interior and exterior both remain in outstanding original condition—exceptionally rare for this model.
The fact that this 328 GTB belonged to Mr. Arai, the representative of ARAI BANKIN, known for his impeccable automotive collection and maintenance standards, speaks volumes about the quality of this example.
It is unquestionably one of the finest 328 GTBs in Japan today.
