The Skyline 2000GT-R debuted in 1969 with the catchphrase “A wolf in sheep's clothing.” As a model focused purely on driving performance, items such as heaters and radios were considered unnecessary for racing and were offered as optional extras. Over the span of three years, approximately 2,000 units were produced.

This particular example is the KPGC10, the 2-door hardtop model added in October 1970.

The FRP overfenders mounted above the rear wheel arches featured a distinctive cut-away surf line and upward expansion. This design not only enhanced the appearance but also accommodated the wider tread and allowed for wider tire choices. This made it a highly coveted “out of one’s league”model among young enthusiasts.

The current owner was one such young person who admired the Hakosuka back then.

After owning several Hakosukas, this particular example is the one he currently possesses. He was drawn to its high level of original interior condition. While the exterior has been repainted and other work has been done, the owner preserved the cherished original interior until this day. The original driver's seat was removed and stored, keeping it in excellent condition.

Furthermore, the mechanical components are maintained in remarkably good condition, defying expectations for a vehicle over 50 years old.
