This is a 320i (E21), officially imported by BMW Japan.
The E21 was the first generation of the 3 Series, which is of course still part of the BMW range. It debuted in 1975 and it was based on the marque’s Neue Klasse (German for New Class) cars built in the 60s into the early 70s. It’s powered by their well-known M10 series engine and its lightweight gives it agile handling, a characteristic it inherited from the 02 Series.
In 1977 a 320 with a 6-cylinder engine was launched and in 1979 it received a facelift.
After 1977, only the inline-4 engine models were officially imported to Japan, this example of the 320i was first registered in 1979.
This car is a left-hand drive and has a 4-speed manual gearbox.
The previous owner, a BMW collector, has kept the car in his garage for many years and maintained it at his BMW dealer.
The car has been run-moved so the engine is in good condition.
It was last inspected in May 2023 for road registration meaning it is ready to be enjoyed.
