The RC213V was introduced in 2012 as MotoGP bikes had their displacement increased. In the hands of Marc Marquez, it won consecutive championships in 2013 and 2014. In 2014 and 2015 the bike was available to privateers as the RCV1000R and RC213V-RS respectively.
The RC213V-S was developed to maintain the feeling of the RC213V on public roads and follows Honda’s philosophy, “A fast bike is one that can be easily ridden by everyone”.
While they do share bodywork and geometry, the engine and transmissions have been adapted for street use. Power is 70hp (Japanese spec). With the sports kit, power increases to 215hp and the sound it makes is one that cannot be experienced with a road-legal exhaust with a catalytic converter. The kit was originally sold separately by HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) for ¥1,600,000. This example comes with the sports kit in its case which includes parts such as a muffler, ECU and sprockets.
The carbon fairings give it a real motorsport feel but it also has safety equipment and essentials for the road use such as a number plate holder. The livery is HRC’s beautiful Tricolour which took some inspiration from the Japanese flag, the other option was an unpainted carbon look, the idea being that owners could have their own liveries painted on. It’s in great condition and the odometer shows just 191km.
About 200 of these bikes were made, all of them assembled by hand by skilled technicians, on the steering head the serial number, 58 is displayed.
This bike makes you feel Honda’s true motosport spirit and is a real piece of HRC racing history.
