TOPSECRET SUPER GT-R (2011 Nissan GT-R Black Edition)
- “Grown-up” tuned car concept full aero kit
- Painted in Millennium Jade, limited edition T-Spec colour
- Original wheels made in collaboration with OZ
- ECU updated with latest data
- Inside of the bonnet signed by Smoky Nagata
This car is a modified high performance car that can still be driven on the road, built by the world famous tuner Kazuhiko (Smoky) Nagata's and his long-established shop, Top Secret.
The first thing that catches the eye is its stunning exterior, which emphasises the aggressiveness of the GT-R, which even in its stock form has an unmistakable presence. The ducted front front wheel arches have been widened by 20mm on each side. The rear wing now have carbon mountings, which add to the muscle of the wing. The front bumper is the same size as the factory bumper, giving the car a more mature look while maintaining its daily usability.
The rear wing is quite striking but the challenge of such cars is producing high downforce while still meeting regulations to maintain street legality. The result is a functional but visually appealing one. The headlights and tail lights have also been replaced with LEDs to improve visibility at night. Additionally, the exterior is now available in a range of colours. The exterior of this example has been repainted from white to Millennium Jade, the same colour used on the 100-unit limited edition T Spec, and the wheels have been changed to match.
It gives a glimpse into the identity of the fastest tuner in the world, Kazuhiko Nagata.
Mechanically, this GT-R is only lightly tuned with a boost increase, an updated ECU with the latest 2021 data, and some modifications to the suspension. The GT-R's durability and ease of use are the key to its high performance and everyday usability. However, even with this in mind, the nearly 600hp is still a clear indication of Nagata's identity as a top speed tuner.
The interior has also been subtly customised. The dashboard is covered in carbon fiber and the seats are Bride semi-bucket seats, giving the car a high-spec sporty feel.
Nagata, who knows all about cars and loves the R35 GT-R, has created this GT-R with all his love and technology. Only Nagata could have created a GT-R like this, a car that combines beauty, high performance and comfort for everyday driving.
About Top Secret
One of the most famous tuning shops in Japan who often focus on top speed. The owner is Kazuhiko Nagata, known as Smoky Nagata, he has fans in Japan and all over the world due to his love and passion for cars and stepping into uncharted territory in his constant pursuit for ultimate performance. His projects have won several awards at Tokyo Auto Salon and have had a significant impact in the industry.
His most famous project is the A80 Supra which he took to Nardo in Italy, one of the most well known high speed testing facilities in the world. Nagata had dreamed of setting an official speed record at Nardo for many years. To make his dream come true, he installed a 5-litre V12 (1GZ-FE) into an A80 Supra. The result was a monster with over 100kgf of torque and a maximum output of 850hp. Due to mechanical issues, the car was unable to reach its target of 380kph, but was able to reach a remarkable 350kph.
Nagata is also known for his love for GT-Rs. Before the launch of the R35 GT-R, he grew impatient and decided to make his own. He took a CPV35 Skyline as a base and installed a twin-turbocharged 4.5-litre V8 VK45DE engine. It was named the "V35 GT-R" and produced 712hp. To test it, he took it to the unrestricted autobahn and managed to take it to 341kph, significantly faster than the yet to be released R35 GT-R.
Another one of his famous projects is the VR32GT-R, an R32 with all the mechanics and interior of the R35 transplanted. The engine is of course the VR38 and it’s combined with the ATTESA 4WD system and a dual clutch transmission. The interior also got the R35 treatment. The specifications were also astonishing, power went up to 700hp, and it managed a lap time of under a minute (59.914s) around Tsukuba Circuit, no small feat and showed what real tuning was all about.
These unique masterpieces are meticulous in every respect. This level is not achieved simply due to his technical skills but because of the passion he puts in every car and because he has devoted his life into the pursuit of speed, this is what drives his fans crazy.
