1971 Nissan Fairlady Z432

  • Just 419 units produced
  • S20 engine & 5-speed manual gearbox
  • Stored indoors by previous owner

The first generation Fairlady Z, the S30, was released in October 1969. It quickly became a sales success, not just in Japan but around the world, especially in North America. Production of Nissan’s global flagship lasted 9 years and 520,000 units were sold, unprecedented numbers for a sports car.
This is the high performance Z432 which is powered by the same inline-6, 4-valve DOHC, 160ps S20 engine as the Skyline 2000GT-R (PGC10). The “432” was derived from the engine’s 4 valves, 3 carburettors and 2 camshafts.
As a flagship model, it came standard with an LSD (limited slip differential) and special magnesium wheels, it was priced at 1.85 million Japanese Yen, almost double the price of the basic Z.
Although this example does not come with the magnesium wheels that are unique to the 432, it does come with the vertically stacked exhaust pipes muffler and is finished in the “Safari Gold” launch colour.
The seats, gear lever boot, gear knob and steering wheel are in good condition, and there are no cracks on the dash. The body is also in good condition, as is the engine, and the car is sure to stand out in the booming classic car scene.
