- Parchment Connolly leather finished interior
- Walnut panels with no cracks
The post-facelift XJS symbolizes a milestone for the brand, featuring Jaguar's last mass-produced 6.0L V12 engine. This V12, enlarged from 5.3L through increased stroke, delivered astonishingly smooth rotation and the ample torque characteristic of a British GT, bringing a “mature finale” to the XJS model.
Launched in 1975 as the successor to the E-type, the XJ-S made a major splash with its long bonnet and flying buttress-style rear design. While opinions varied, its distinctive character led to popularity, with over 110,000 units produced over 20 years.
Then in 1991, it underwent a major facelift, with 40% of the body panels redesigned, and the name changed from XJ-S to XJS. The iconic triangular tail lenses were replaced with smoked, horizontally elongated types, and the interior became more luxurious. The instrument cluster adopted the design shared with the XJ40, significantly improving the overall quality feel.
This particular example features an Antelope body adorned with white and red stripes. Its later-model body-colored bumpers accentuate the straight-lined proportions.
Inside, luxurious light beige parchment-colored Connolly leather is lavishly used. Intentionally softened wrinkles create the rich texture unique to the final production model. The flawless walnut wood panels embody the substantial characteristics of British cars.
The last mass-produced V12 from Jaguar, now undergoing a resurgence in appreciation.
This is a car that allows one to experience its mature driving dynamics and the pride of a British GT in its most beautiful form.
