The Evo VI is the final version of the 2nd generation (IV to VI) Lancer Evolution. The model dominated the World Rally Championship and is now a rally icon.

This example is an RS which was the most basic trim which was often chosen as the base for cars that were going to be used for competition. It has a twin plate clutch, front LSD, supercross transmission, and a Mine's ECU, all of which were options at the time. Inside it has Recaro seats, rear seats from the higher GSR trim level and Ralliart triple gauges.

Heat resistance in the engine bay and improved engine feel at high rpm, were points of focus, both of which are important in the harsh rally environment. The oil cooler was enlarged, the intake pipe diameter was increased, and cooling channels were installed in the pistons to increase the reliability of the high-performance engine. In addition, the world's first titanium-aluminum alloy turbine is used in the turbocharger to improve engine response.

The front bumper is asymmetrical, with ducts only on the right side for the oil cooler and the license plate was moved to the left side in order to promote air flow to the intercooler, both features were firsts for the series.

The large rear 2-element wing provides improved aerodynamic performance but while it participated in the WRC, the wing was actually restricted because its performance was considered too high and would have violated the regulations.

The suspension and body were also improved to increase rigidity, and newly designed OZ wheels were adopted for the Evo VI.

Incredibly this car only has 3,051km on the odometer, an almost unbelievable figure for this kind of car.
