- High-end trim of "Iron Mask" Turbo RS: RS-X
- Approximately 40,000 km on the odometer
- Includes maintenance records
- Original wheels and steering wheel included
The sixth-generation Skyline, the R30 model, was released in 1981. It gained popularity with the introduction of the FJ20 4-cylinder, 4-valve DOHC engine in the 2000RS series, complementing the existing 2000GT Turbo lineup. In February 1983, the Turbo RS was introduced with a turbocharged FJ20 engine, delivering a remarkable 190ps and earning the tagline "The most powerful Skyline in history." The subsequent facelift in the summer transformed the RS models with a unique grill-less front design, earning it the nickname "Iron Mask." In February of the following year, the Turbo RS was upgraded to the 205ps Turbo Intercooler RS, keeping the model in the spotlight.
The vehicle being presented is the RS-X, an upgraded version equipped with features such as an 8-way adjustable power multi-bucket seats, power steering, power windows, and a cassette radio. Both the interior and exterior are in remarkably clean condition, making it hard to believe its age; it also comes with comprehensive maintenance records.
The paint retains its original condition, and the engine starts smoothly, maintaining stable idling without any issues. The current owner, a devoted admirer of the Skyline's creator, Shinichiro Sakurai, has prioritized keeping the car in original condition while also adding Watanabe two-piece wheels and a Nardi steering wheel, capturing the essence of the era. The original steering wheel and wheels are included with the vehicle.
